Open Day in January

After a lovely Xmas and New Year we are now back at work planning lots of lovely weddings for 2012. We have had lots of bookings for this year so far so if you want to book please do so asap so we can be sure to fit you in.

To start the year off we are holding an Open Day at the Studio on Saturday 28th January, this is our very first Open Day so we are very excited about it, but we decided to go down this avenue rather than attending lots of wedding fayres as we want to continue to keep the costs down for our couples. More info can be found on our website

2011 Weddings at Lavender Blue

We are having a fantastic start to 2011 with lots of wedding bookings coming in for this season. We still have a lot of the vintage theme running for this year and have some fantastic designs that we are working on for weddings this season. We very much love the vintage style flowers and the lovely mocha coffee and vintage pink roses that are in this season. For your reception ideas we have a huge range of vases & accessories, everthing from chrystal vases to zinc buckets, bunting, lace, chair covers, sashes, what more can a bride want.

Sweeney Hall Wedding

We were very lucky in September to design the flowers for Susie Jordan when she married Professor Timothy Cooper Partridge at St Mary's in Chirk with a reception at Sweeney Hall. Susie's background is in the wedding, beauty and fashion industry and they had a second wedding in Spain where they live a week later.

Susie chose a traditional shower bouquet of bridal fern and white carnations and her bridesmaid had a handtied bouquet of daisy chrysanths and gypsophilia and bridal fern.

Civil Ceremony at Ironbridge

We spent August Bank Holiday working on a Civil Ceremony at The Ironbridge Museum and had a great time, this took us a week to make and on the day we were moving flowers between the Museum, the Reception and then onto the Evening event. Congratulations Clive and Matt and many thanks for allowing us to design your flowers.

We loved doing these panels, there was four in total, they were lit up and the flowers used on them were Calla Lillys, Aspidstra Leaves, funky palms and Longi Lillies. After the Ceremony we moved these to the Evening Event.

Big Balls of Carnations on top of tall vases make such an impact.

Registrars Table Arrangement moved to Reception.
